This concert of Faure’s masterworks was staged in both LaGrange’s St. Cletus Church and Chicago’s St. Gregory the Great Church. Both venues provided great acoustics and pleased audiences.
The first half of the program featured John Rutter’s Magnificat, the choral setting for the Song of Mary from the Gospel of Luke.
In addition to well-known English carols, we are presenting several French carols, including the 17th century “What Is This Lovely Fragrance?”
Our first concert of the season featured the music of Christopher Tin, Daniel Elder, and John Rutter.

John Rutter turned 75 this year. To celebrate, we will be performing his Mass of the Children, which we’ll sing with chamber ensemble and the Pro Musica Youth Choir from Oak Park.
