This Mother’s Day weekend concert was well-received. The program honored the role of mothers. Diverse pieces were sung, from lullabies to music from Hollywood.
In 1934, German composer Carl Orff set 24 poems found in a Benedictine monastery in 1803 to music.
This classical concert was performed by the Tower Chorale in both Westchester and Chicago churches.
This year is the 100th anniversary of Berlin’s birth and we will feature a medley of 18 (yes, 18!) of his songs.

The first half of the program featured John Rutter’s Magnificat, the choral setting for the Song of Mary from the Gospel of Luke.
