Who Sings With Us?

Our singers come from many backgrounds and stages of life, united by a love of music and a willingness to prepare.

  • Most have sung in other choral groups
  • Many have had college choral experience or voice lessons
  • Many have returned to singing after time away
  • Almost all read music at least at a basic level

If you’re currently singing or looking to reconnect with music in a serious, supportive environment–you’ll likely find kindred spirits here.

Artistic Leadership

Patrick Godon brings the perspective of a professional orchestral musician to volunteer choral singing.

Rehearsals are focused, efficient, and grounded in musical understanding rather than rote repetition, making the most of everyone’s time together.

Patrick’s style is demanding, supportive, and fun — high expectations delivered with respect and humor.

What We Sing

Each season, The Tower Chorale presents three distinct concert programs—each with its own repertoire, sound, and musical character. Together, they offer singers a wide-ranging and deeply rewarding musical experience.

Holiday Concert

Our holiday concert explores Christmas music across styles and eras—from familiar carols to extended contemporary works that offer both musical challenge and expressive depth. Performances typically include piano and organ, with additional instrumental color from strings and brass.

Masterworks Concert

The classical concert centers on large-scale choral repertoire, often performed with expanded instrumental forces. Programs may include oratorios, requiems, symphonic choral works, and significant contemporary compositions that reward sustained preparation and musical commitment.

Pops Concert

Our pops concert offers a change of pace, featuring themed programs drawn from musical theater, popular song, folk traditions, and other styles. Performed with a small band, these concerts emphasize energy, storytelling, and connection with the audience.

A Supportive Musical Home

We support singers with tools that make preparation manageable and rehearsals meaningful, as part of real, full lives.

  • Learning tracks by voice part, prepared by the director to support efficient, focused practice
  • Scores pre-marked to clarify musical priorities and rehearsal focus
  • Rehearsal recordings and plans, available to support preparation between rehearsals
  • Optional digital scores and mobile app access, so preparation can happen where and when it fits best

Together, these tools support a rehearsal culture grounded in respect, preparation, and shared commitment.

Is This the Right Ensemble for You?

This ensemble may be a good fit if you:

  • Have sung before and want to continue growing
  • Enjoy preparing music independently with good support
  • Value clarity, musical challenge, and shared commitment
  • Want community without sacrificing musical depth

This ensemble may not be the best fit at this time if you:

  • Are brand new to choral singing
  • Prefer learning music entirely in rehearsal
  • Are seeking a casual or drop-in experience

The Joining Process

We invite prospective singers to experience a rehearsal firsthand — to hear the sound, feel the pace, learn the practical details of membership, and see whether the musical culture resonates with you.

The best way to know is simply to experience a rehearsal with us.
